Preliminary Layout

My preliminary layout for my portfolio project includes my masthead which is "Best Family Travel". Although this information is not set-in stone, there may be some changes  later on .   Magazine   Masthead: Family Travel    Main Image: The main image will be a picture of  Venice , with bright colors to give it a colorful happy feel. It will focus on the overall image of  Venice  and have our title at the top of the magazine with subheadings on the edges.   Selling line: Places to go that your family will love!   Typography/Font: The font of the title will be bold, and the font of the subheadings will be a color that matches the main image but smaller and more delicate.   Feature Article Title/Content/images/s: The feature of the article will be about  Venice  and things to do there with your family sense it is the main image of the magazine. Peer Pitch & Concept Refinement Chart

My pitch was successful, the class and my teacher did like it, however, another person in my class had a very similar idea  so  we talked  about how we could change that. We d ecided to go with family travel as the genre of our magazine and how everyone can go on a trip and each have something they like and want to do.   The feedback from the class was minimal, mostly because the idea worked and  now,  we just have to refine and organize it into a magazine. The feedback from my teacher  was very helpful and learning of the other  student's  similar idea  definitely impacted  my vision of my magazine. This is because we sort of had to change  our idea so that they would not be so alike.
